The incumbent would work with the peacekeeping missions and Headquarters to identify, design and prioritize new functions and/or enhancements to the system to support evolving needs; to determine whether such enhancements or functions will need to be channelled through the United Nations team or the vendor; to manage the contract with the vendor to ensure proper licensing and timely incorporation of new functions into the system, as determined by United Nations needs; to supervise the business analysts, developers and technical support staff associated with the project; and to establish standards of service and procedures.

It is also understood that aside from the agency fee referred to in paragraph (f) below and reflected in Table 1, Venezuela and the Multilateral Fund and its Implementing Agencies and bilateral donors will neither provide nor request further Multilateral Fund related funding for the accomplishment of the total phase out of CFC production in accordance with the schedule noted above and the terms of the strategy being approved.

The Security Council, in its resolution 1810 (2008), decided that the Committee should continue to intensify its efforts to promote the full implementation by all States of resolution 1540 (2004) through its programme of work, which includes the compilation of information on the status of States’ implementation of all aspects of resolution 1540 (2004), outreach, dialogue, assistance and cooperation, and which addresses in particular all aspects of paragraphs 1 and 2 of that resolution, as well as of paragraph 3, which encompasses (a) accountability, (b) physical protection, (c) border controls and law enforcement efforts and (d) national export and trans-shipment controls, including controls on providing funds and services such as financing to such export and trans-shipment.

In view of the importance of this matter and its legal aspects, it was the opinion of the Legal Committee that Commission I might wish to consider, as one of the possible options, that the final, complete text of the draft directives should be submitted to the General Conference at its next session and included in the agenda of both Commission I and the Legal Committee.

The Security Council requests the Secretary-General to continue to consult with the Security Council, taking into account views expressed by other relevant stakeholders, including the broader United Nations membership, taking into account the need to further develop indicators contained in his report (S/2010/173), and the parallel ongoing work regarding resolution 1888 (2009), in order to include a comprehensive set of indicators in his next report on the implementation of resolution 1325 (2000) to be submitted to the Security Council in October 2010, as well as a programme of work containing roles and responsibilities visà-vis the indicators within the United Nations system and a time frame to render the indicators operational.

The recommendations of the Committee were transmitted in a letter dated 1 May 2012 from the Chair of the Committee on Conferences to the Chair of the Committee for Programme and Coordination and were included in a note by the Secretariat on the proposed strategic framework for the period 2014-2015: review of part two: biennial programme plan by sectoral, functional and regional bodies (see E/AC.51/2012/CRP.1, annexes I and II).

The Delegation reiterated their view expressed at the last session of the Commission that a business plan, linking the strategic plan to activities and providing a breakdown of costs per activity could provide a favourable environment for discussions on future budgets.

The document suggests various possible routes for evolving a regional trading arrangement that not only is comprehensive, deep and broad but also keeps equity at its heart by being sensitive to the concerns of lesser developed countries of the region and incorporating provisions and safeguards regarding special and differential treatment.

It also provides for exceptions to the prohibition of discrimination and lists the situations in which the prohibition applies.

On this occasion, States parties, United Nations bodies and other intergovernmental organizations, national human rights institutions, international and national non-governmental organizations and academics were invited to join the members of the Committee for discussions on the main following themes: identifying and stocktaking the main achievements, constraints and challenges faced by the Committee; assessing the implementation of the Covenant in the various regions of the world, with examples of achievements and best practices regarding civil and political rights; and identifying priorities for future activities of the Committee.

Without necessarily questioning the location of an activity or a function, as a particular location may offer greater efficiency or allow for a better response to specific requirements, the Advisory Committee continues to stress the need for a clear and transparent presentation and disclosure of the totality of resources allocated for specific functions and for support of peacekeeping operations as a whole, as well as the related lines of accountability involved (A/65/827, para. 39, and A/64/753, para. 8).

Lists of publications issued in the reporting period 2011/2012 and pre-session documents submitted to the Commission at its sixty-eighth session are contained in annex III.

Rather, its elements had been considered and incorporated into existing policy and programme frameworks.

When commodity standards are sent to governments for comment at Step 3, they should contain a statement that the provisions “in respect of food additives and contaminants are subject to endorsement by the Codex Committees on Food Additives or on Contaminants in Food and to incorporation into the General Standard for Food Additives or the General Standard for Contaminants and Toxins in Foods.

Through the forest instrument these remain valid, since paragraph 6 (a) of the instrument calls upon Member States to develop, implement, and, as necessary, update national forest programmes or other strategies for sustainable forest management, taking into account relevant proposals for action of the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests/Intergovernmental Forum on Forests and resolutions of the Forum.

In the report, the Inspectors had compared the status of the respective projects in 2010, on the basis of replies to the questionnaires circulated by the Task Force and JIU, and had set out 16 best practices for implementing a smooth transition to IPSAS, many of which were based on the experience of WFP, as well as that of pioneer organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the European Commission.

It was noted that the majority of recommendations in the Legislative Guide referred to “the insolvency law” and it was decided, after further discussion, to include references to both the insolvency law and to the law relating to insolvency in square brackets.

Besides currency specialist Ortus Capital Management (No. 5) and multistrategy shop Azentus Capital Management (tied for No. 13), both based in Hong Kong, the list includes Singapore macro fund Dymon Asia Capital (No. 20).

While Israel also appreciates the spirit of the recommendation to protect the children and families of migrants, it does not consider that accession to the Convention on the Rights of Migrant Workers and their Families is required in order to achieve this goal, as under Israeli legislation, the rights of children and family members of migrants are already protected.
