The Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia underwent respective amendments to include rather heavy sanctions for this type of crime.

The Meeting established an open-ended working group to allow for further consultations on the matter in order to finalize a draft decision on the workload of theCommission for consideration by the Meeting.

The first meeting of the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons was held in Vienna on 14 and 15 April 2009, and a second meeting was to be held from 27 to 29 January 2010 in order to make recommendations to the Conference on how States parties can better implement specific provisions of the Protocol.

In order to facilitate this decision, the Commission agreed that the Codex Secretariat in collaboration with FAO and WHO would prepare a Circular Letter based on the proposal in LIM 32, taking account the above discussion, in order to request commentson what should be the specific terms of reference of such a Task Force.

UIS has been actively involved with partners, such as USAID/Macro International, UNICEF and the World Bank in promoting the use of better quality education indicators derived from household surveys.

It is in this very context that Slovakia, together with its close partner countries in the regions and with the assistance of DCAF — the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces — organized three regional workshops with the aim of galvanizing discussions and tangible efforts on security sector reform in the most relevant regions, facilitating partnerships and enhancing coordination mechanisms.
