In 2011, WFP used analysis from remote sensing provided by the Information Technology for Humanitarian Assistance Cooperation and Action (ITHACA) Centre (a joint venture between WFP and Politecnico of Turin) in targeting its food aid and logistic support operation in several major humanitarian crises, including in Mozambique, Myanmar and Pakistan.
