Although not formally applicable to the process of the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia, which occurred in the 1991–1992 period, in light of the fact that the former Yugoslavia consented to be bound by the Vienna Convention already in 1980, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia has been a contracting State to that Convention since April 1992, one would not expect, by analogy to article 18 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, a State which, through notification of its accession, expresses its consent to be considered as bound by the Vienna Convention on Succession of States in Respect of Treaties to act in a singular case inconsistently with the rule contained in article 34 of that Convention, while in a great number of other cases to acting in full conformity with that rule.

The Philippines adopted an Anti-Torture Act which is compliant with its obligations under the Convention against Torture.

The label guarantees that the product originates in capture fisheries and/or aquaculture enterprises that are sustainably managed and/or that adhere to criteria reflecting social and cultural values deemed important by the scheme’s originators.

The following initiatives are spearheaded by UNESCO’s Paris-based International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and are in line with the Five-Year Education Development Plan for 2000-2005 it has elaborated together with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) of the Palestinian Authority.

When UNICEF had the opportunity to link the BCC initiative to the Vasadhara Dairy, it was able to integrate the dairy’s strong network of predominantly women’s cooperative societies for milk production across the district, and to piggy-back the initiative on the Dairy’s Clean Milk Campaign, which began in 2001.

Furthermore, the word Mishna is applied to the systematic collection of such doctrines, and finally to that collection which alone has attained canonical recognition, ie the collection of Jehuda I. This collection represents Jewish law codified in that development which it received in the schools of Palestine up to the end of the second century after Christ.

The idea is to take the Haitian Government’s own development plan and make sure that all the projects approved are consistent with that, then to offer transparency through a website that will show what projects have been approved, who is funding them, who got the money and what the progress of the project is, and offering a performance audit at the end of that.

According to the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (article 27), all migrant workers and members of their families shall enjoy in the State of employment the same treatment as nationals regarding social security, insofar as they fulfil the requirements provided for by the applicable legislation of that State and the applicable bilateral and multilateral treaties.

Nicaragua asks that, first, the Council demand the State of Israel to immediately lift the blockade on Gaza; secondly, an international investigative commission be established under United Nations auspices; thirdly, the State of Israel be required to provide full cooperation with such a commission as well as with the commission established by the Human Rights Council; and fourthly, those who masterminded the crimes and those who carried them out be brought to justice and punished.

The breach of an international obligation requiring an international organization to prevent a given event occurs when the event occurs and extends over the entire period during which the event continues and remains not in conformity with that obligation.

(ii) Where, in an importing country, a product claimed to be in compliance with a general standard is found not to be in compliance with that standard, whether in respect of the label accompanying the product or otherwise, the importing country should inform the competent authorities in the exporting country of all the relevant facts and in particular the details of the origin of the product in question (name and address of the exporter), if it is thought that a person in the exporting country is responsible for such non-compliance.

The Federal Republic of Germany considers that the reservations made by the Union of Myanmar regarding articles 15 and 37 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child are incompatible with the object and purpose of the Convention (article 51, paragraph 2) and therefore objects to them.

These initiatives open avenues for strengthened collaboration with Governments in the region and will help to mobilize support for the adoption of a legal ban on all forms of violence against children, the development of a comprehensive national strategy and the consolidation of research and data in this field.
