The legacy of global summits on sustainable development is precisely to overcome these mismatches, and not only to bring countries and agendas together but also make “everything else fall into place” by identifying integrated economic policies, by enabling sustainable development to become effective without losing its aspirations for horizontal synergy to the temptation of vertical authority, and by seeking to ensure that global resources are channelled to where they are needed.

The Committee recommends that the State party continue its efforts in respect of intercultural bilingual education and ensure that in the learning process, all cultures and languages find their appropriate place in orderto build a truly multicultural State.

The underlying conflict has nonetheless remained, at least in part because the declaration is not legally binding and it has not fulfilled its promised advancesin dispute resolution.

The consultation process resulted in the identification of the following needs: (1) stronger political will and commitment byall EFA partners must be built and accountability and monitoring in terms of delivering on the commitments improved; (2) more inclusive processes must be developed whereby global coordination is driven by needs on the ground and better informed by EFA activities at the national and regional levels; (3) countries and populations must be better targeted; (4) existing mechanisms must be built on and better used; (5) functions must be clarified; (6) coordination resources must be increased; and (7) the knowledge base must be strengthened through more cutting edge analytical work and relevant information used through the national and regional EFA processes.

14.4 During the 2014-2015 period, the programme is expected to continue to concentrate its efforts on the following six focus areas: (a) increasing women’s leadership and participation inall areas that affect their lives, including in political and economic areas; (b) increasing women’s access to economic empowerment and opportunities, especially for those who are most excluded, particularly women living in poverty; (c) preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls and expanding access to survivor services; (d) increasing women’s leadership in peace, security and humanitarian response; (e) strengthening the responsiveness of plans and budgets in the area of gender equality at all levels; (f) supporting the development of global norms, policies and standards on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The Commission welcomed information providedby several delegations on their country initiatives to further strengthen statistical systems and the progress achievedin recent years, including through strengthening legislative infrastructure for statistics and developing and implementing national statistics development strategies.

(F) Subject to the Companies Act and to the next paragraph of this Bye-law, no Director or proposed or intended Director shall be disqualified by his office from contracting with the Company, either with regard to his tenure of any office or place of profit or as vendor, purchaser or in any other manner whatever, nor shall any such contract or any other contract or arrangement in which any Director is in any way interested by liable to be avoided, nor shall any Director so contracting or being so interested be liable to account to the Company or the shareholders for any remuneration, profit or other benefits realised by any such contract or arrangement, by reason only of such Director holding that office or the fiduciary relationship thereby established.

However, the appropriation to the statutory reserve fund should not be less than 10% of their profit after incometax as stated in the PRC statutory financial statements unless the statutory reserve fund reaches 50% of their registered capital.

Rather than reciprocate the efforts and gestures made for peace — from the explicit commitment to peace and the two-State solution based on the pre-1967 borders made by the Palestinian leadership, beginning with the Palestinian Declaration of Independence over 20 years ago; to the Madrid, Oslo, Taba, Sharm el-Sheikh and Annapolis commitments; the Arab Peace Initiative over eight years ago; the road map to Mideast peace and the Quartet Statement; the diplomatic efforts of the United States of America and allother concerned nations — Israel continues to pay only lip-service to the pursuit of peace, while its actions are actuallydestroying any chance for the realization of peace.
