(b) Contributions of staff members who are participating in the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund shall be deducted, each pay period, from the total payments due to them.

This initiative is closely connected with the development of Integrated Pension Administration System since the amended specifications consider: (a) the need for a seamless payroll connection; (b) the tools for an efficient utilization of the common enterprise resource planning interfaces; and (c) the development of a web-entry system (for those organizations lacking enterprise resource planning platforms).

Execute the payroll process as usual and his/her payroll will be calculated with the resignation date taken into consideration.

In addition, two initiatives not considered in the original plan were incorporated, including an extensive bottom-up review of the statement of requirements produced during the first phase of the project and exploration of new technologies as the means to develop better interfaces that would allow a seamless payroll connection between the integrated pension administration system and member organizations’ human resources and finance systems, and that would enable better use of existing databases to automate verification of contribution calculations and establish other data quality protocols (see A/66/266, paras. 14-15).

Furthermore, the United Nations Office at Nairobi would continue to provide services on a costreimbursable basis for the transportation and payroll of local staff, joint medical services and pouch and mail services.

Recent initiatives to conduct payroll audits in the counties and to introduce a pilot salary disbursement system through local commercial banking are expected to encourage county-based officials to spend more time at their posts.

(E) Where arrangements are under consideration concerning the appointment (including the arrangement or variation of the terms thereof, or the termination thereof) of two or more Directors to offices or places of profit with the Company or any other company in which the Company is interested, a separate resolution may be put in relation to each Director and in such case each of the Directors concerned shall be entitled to vote (and be counted in the quorum) in respect of each resolution except that concerning his own appointment (or the arrangement or variation of the terms thereof, or the termination thereof) and except (in the case of an office or place of profit with any such other company as aforesaid) where the other company is a company in which the Director together with any of his associates owns five (5) per cent or more of the issued shares of any class of the equity share capital of such company or of the voting rights of any class of shares of such company.
