To that end, the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences has organized an international network ofobservatories — the International Scientific Optical Observation Network (ISON) — to make astrometric and photometric observations, as a result of which it has been possible to record objects throughout the geostationary orbit.

The elections for national councils of national minorities were held on 6 June 2010 in the Republic of Serbia, namely: direct elections for 16 national councils of national minorities (Albanian,Ashkali,Bosniak, Bulgarian, Bunjevac, Vlach, Greek, Egyptian, Hungarian, German, Roma, Romanian, Ruthenian, Slovak, Ukrainian and Czech minorities), whereas the representatives of three national minorities (Macedonian, Slovenianand Croat minorities) elected the national councils of national minorities through electoral assemblies.

Furthermore, 3 provincial offices, budgeted in 2009, are to open before the end of the year inLashkar Gah, Ghazni and Farah, and 6 additional provincial offices, included in the budget for 2010, are to be established in Logar, Paktika, Laghman, Panjsher, Takhar and Jawzjan (ibid., para. 6).

We remain very concerned about the severe capacity gap in aviation assets faced by the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and I would like to hear General Prakash address the question of whether — or rather how — that gap is affecting the Mission’s ability to implement its mandate as outlined in resolution 1991 (2011).

At the Keldysh Institute,asystem for the prediction of near-collisions in the geostationary orbit using ISON measurements has entered into pilot operation, and the first forecasts have been issued at the Mission Control Centre of the Central Engineering Research Institute.

Task forces are also planned on education and health and on the relocation of members of the Kosovo Roma, Ashkaliand Egyptian communities to permanent housing, in order to address the critical health risks they face as a result of lead contamination.
