Article 7.9.1.e of the United Nations Procurement Manual requires that vendors be formally registered in the vendor database once the procurement office has ensured that the vendor fulfils the required minimum standards before contracts are awarded to them and specifies that no contractual award shall be made prior to formal registration of a vendor upon completion of the vendor registration application and that any exception to this policy shall be made only upon written decision of the Director, Procurement Division at Headquarters and upon consultation with the Vendor Review Committee, if applicable.

Subject to these Articles, the Company may sell in such manner as the Board determines any share on which the Company has a lien, but no sale shall be made unless some sum in respect of which the lien exists is presently payable, or the liability or engagement in respect of which such lien exists is liable to be presently fulfilled or discharged nor until the expiration of fourteen clear days after a notice in writing, stating and demanding payment of the sum presently payable, or specifying the liability or engagement and demanding fulfilment or discharge thereof and giving notice of the intention to sell in default, has been served on the registered holder for the time being of the share or the person entitled thereto by reason of his death or bankruptcy.

7.1 The current account may be closed, at any time, upon written request by the holder or, if appropriate, by the successor in title of the holder.

At its fifty-ninth session, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to invite Governments to submit their written comments on any future action regarding the articles; also requested the Secretary-General to prepare an initial compilation of decisions of international courts, tribunals and other bodies referring to the articles, and to invite Governments to submit information on their practice in that regard; and further requested him to submit that material to the Assembly at its sixty-second session (resolution 59/35).

The Committee further welcomes the written replies to the list of issues (CRC/C/OPSC/MEX/Q/1/Add.1) and appreciates the constructive dialogue held with the multisectoral delegation.

The Committee regrets the absence of written replies to the Committee’s list of issues but appreciates the availability of the delegation to respond to concerns and questions expressed by Committee members.

The Commission encouraged members and observers that had submitted comments in writing or orally at the session to submit these comments at Step 6 of the Procedure.

Written contributions are invited on the issues and topics mentioned, within the framework outlined above.

The President of the Appeals Tribunal may, within seven calendar days of a written request by the President of the Dispute Tribunal, authorize the referral of a case to a panel of three judges of the Dispute Tribunal, when necessary, by reason of the particular complexity or importance of the case.

Required Negotiations or Mediation Before Commencement of Arbitration – The parties agree to attempt to settle amicably any controversy or claim [related to OR arising out of] this contract, or the breach thereof, within [number of days] of written notification by a party of the claim, controversy or dispute (“Dispute Notice”).

Subject to due compliance with all applicable Statutes, rules and regulations, including, without limitation, the rules of the Designated Stock Exchange, and to obtaining all necessary consents, if any, required thereunder, the requirements of Article 152 shall be deemed satisfied in relation to any person by sending to the person in any manner not prohibited by the Statutes, a summary financial statement derived from the Company’s annual accounts and the directors’ report which shall be in the form and containing the information required by applicable laws and regulations, provided that any person who is otherwise entitled to the annual financial statements of the Company and the directors’ report thereon may, if he so requires by notice in writing served on the Company, demand that the Company sends to him, in addition to a summary financial statement, a complete printed copy of the Company’s annual financial statement and the directors’ report thereon.

The reduction of the matrimonial age requires the acceptance from the local public administration where these persons reside, with their written application and agreement from the parents of the minor.

The SBSTA also noted that the written report on the outcomes of this workshop will be made available for consideration by the SBSTA at its thirty-fifth session.

She also noted the request to refer explicitly to pastoral and nomadic peoples and to issues on militarization in the context of participation in decision-making and urged experts on these subjects to make written submissions.

Written comments from Members would be welcome over the next month so that ICF International could finalize the report by the end of 2009.

The Committee welcomes the submission of the second periodic report of the Republic of Moldova and the written replies to its list of issues (E/C.12/MDA/Q/2/Add.1).

(h) Report in written form as well as orally on the activities, functioning and finances of the ISU to each Meeting of the States Parties or Review Conference, and to informal meetings under the Convention as appropriate.

A State party that has received a request for a written reply in accordance with paragraph 1 of the present rule may submit a request in writing that the communication be rejected as inadmissible, setting out the grounds for such inadmissibility, provided that such a request is submitted to the Committee within two months of the request made under paragraph 1.

Withdrawal of the reservation shall be effected by written notification to the depositary of instruments relating to the treaty and, failing any such depositary, to every State which is or is entitled to become a party to the treaty” (ibid., p. 61).

He therefore requested the Secretariat to issue, as soon as possible, a corrigendum correctly identifying Abidjan as a family duty station, and to provide a written explanation of the change in classification.

A State party that has been requested to submit a written reply that relates only to the question of admissibility is not precluded thereby from submitting, within six months of the request, a written reply that relates to both the communication’s admissibility and its merits.

The Committee, the Working Group or a Rapporteur may request written explanations or statements that relate only to the admissibility of a communication but, in such cases, the State party may nonetheless submit written explanations or statements that relate to both the admissibility and the merits of a communication within the period established by the Committee.

It is consequently unacceptable for a party to make a statement as an expert because the nature of the evidentiary procedures are different, even though both a party and an expert may make a written statement and an appearance before the tribunal.

Through its Decision 29/21, the Executive Committee decided to approve funding for the projects and activities submitted by countries which had not ratified the London Amendment, on the understanding that a letter would be sent to those countries urging them to take the necessary action to ratify the London Amendment as rapidly as possible; and through its Decision 40/35, the Committee decided to require from Parties an official commitment in writing to ratify the London Amendment to the Montreal Protocol before funding could be approved for their projects.

The Committee expresses its appreciation for the constructive dialogue held with the high-level delegation of the State party, and thanks it for the written replies to the questions raised by Committee members.

In adopting the “Directive from the States Parties to the ISU”, the 10MSP agreed that the ISU shall “report in written form as well as orally on the activities, functioning and finances of the ISU to each Meeting of the States Parties or Review Conference, and to informal meetings under the Convention as appropriate.

Law 2/2004 on the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Contagious Diseases sets up a list of diseases and a number of preventive measures in order to avoid the risk of propagation of contagious diseases, such as the duty of any person who enters the MSAR to declare his/her health condition, or, in case of danger to public health, to declare specific health information, to present medical certificates or declarations, or to be subject to a medical exam.
