These databases, including the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa geospatial database, the African Climate Policy Centre’s climate change activities database and its agricultural commodity value-chain database and interface, form the core of the African Regional Spatial Data Infrastructure, with dedicated online applications and streamlined electronic delivery of products and services for targeted sectors including agriculture, climate change, carbon sequestration, water resources management and natural disasters and other regional challenges.

Several other Member States, while appreciating efforts to focus on cluster needs, questioned the results of strategic formulations undertaken in the recent past, many of which did not, in their opinion, reflect the full range of Member States’ needs or existing regional and subregional coordination mechanisms.

It appeared to the delegation that this was part of a wider system, in which the staff as well as the leading members of the prisoner hierarchy gained from the daily transactions of prison life.

The attention of the Commission is also drawn to paragraph 4 ofthe annex to Council resolution 1982/50, in which the Secretary-General recommended that: (a) the documentation and programme of work of the subsidiary bodies of the Council and the Assembly be streamlined in order to enable the subsidiary bodies to perform effectively the functions entrusted to them; (b) the Council and the Assembly continue to review the provisional agendas for their subsidiary bodies, together with the list of requested documentation, in order, inter alia, to establish greater consistency in the overall request for documentation and its orderly consideration at the intergovernmental level, taking fully into account the mediumterm plan and the programme budget; and (c) in doing so, the Council and the Assembly also take into account the need for the consolidation of items and documentation for their subsidiary machinery.

The outputs to be delivered under this component are set out in paragraph 29C.35 of the budget document, and include the provision of a wide array of training programmes designed to build and sustain the Organization’s leadership and managerial capacity; improve the human and financial resources management expertise of programme managers and staff with administrative responsibilities; upgrade the information technology skills of Secretariat staff; build and strengthen linguistic capabilities; and support career development and upgrade substantive skills.

The Executive Secretary informed the Commission about the steps the secretariat had initiated to strengthen the resultsoriented focus of its technical cooperation work, which included: (a) larger, longerterm and better aligned capacity development projects, with emphasis on improved performance through strengthened results-based management; (b) a resource mobilization strategy that provides a framework for a more proactive approach to partnerships and donor relations, and the establishment of a Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Section; (c) continued efforts to strengthen relations with partners through meetings with a number of member States and donor agencies; and (d) enhanced engagement with some private sector counterparts as partners in promoting and delivering capacity development.

Introducing the Advisory Committee’s report on the revised security management framework and revised estimates relating to section 5 of the programme budget for the biennium 2010-2011 (A/65/575), she said that, in section I of its report, the Advisory Committee discussed the revised framework for accountability for the United Nations security management system, which reflected the change in organizational culture from a “when to leave” to a “how to stay” mindset and acknowledged for the first time that continued programme delivery meant that there would always be some residual risk.

In this regard, the Council requested the Chairperson of the Working Group to prepare a proposal for a draft optional protocol to be used as a basis for the negotiations, taking into account the views expressed and inputs provided during the first session of the Working Group and giving due regard to the views of the Committee on the Rights of the Child and, where appropriate, the views of relevant United Nations special procedures and other experts.

Many Member States identified opportunities for furthering intersectoral cooperation in the following areas: multilingualism; ICTs for education, especially for teacher training; media education; production of diversified and culturally diversified local content; cultural heritage, in particular by strengthening the links between the Memory of the World Programme and theother cultural heritage activities under Major Programme IV; infoethics; and the use of ICTs in human rights and democracy education.

In paragraph 63 of his report (A/64/380), the Secretary-General provides information on a number of related initiatives being implemented concurrently with ERP within the United Nations Secretariat andmissions,including: IPSAS implementation, the talent management system (recruitment and staffing), Lean Six Sigma (non-systems process improvement), enterprise content management and customer relationship management, as well as a fuel management system and a rations management system for peacekeeping functions.

His Government reaffirmed the full validity of the agreements concluded between Palestine and Israel, including those based on the terms of reference of the Madrid Conference, which had been and must continue to be based on the principle of land for peace, without allowing for pressure, threats or use of force, but focusing on the right of the people of Palestine and Israel to live together in peace and the obligation of both States to respect the borders established by the United Nations in 1967, which could not be modified unilaterally or on the basis of false realities or in the name of myths inspired by religion.

(3) Where there are joint registered holders of any Share, any one of such persons may vote at any meting, either personally or by proxy, in respect of such Shares as if he is solely entitled thereto, but if more than one of such joint holders be present at any meeting personally or by proxy, that one the said persons so present whose name stands first in the register of members in respect of such Share shall alone be entitled to vote in respect thereof.

The majority of recommendations had been identified as constructive and target-oriented, and many of the recommended measures had already been incorporated in plans of action and were at different stages of implementation.

Investors should read and fully understand all the offering documents relating to the relevant investments or products and all the risk disclosure statements and risk warnings therein before makingany investment decisions.

While some of these are fast becoming conventional sources of energy, at present, the low level of technological development and high costs associated with most of them limit the extent to which they can be incorporated into the global energy matrix on a substantial scale in the foreseeable future.

The strategic direction of the subprogramme derives mainly from the commitments agreed upon at relevant United Nations intergovernmental processes, including the Programme ofAction ofthe World Summit for Social Development, the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families, the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, the World Programme of Action on Youth, and the United Nations Millennium Declaration as well as the commitments adopted at the High-level Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly in 2010 and the Political Declaration on HIV and AIDS: Intensifying our Efforts to Eliminate HIV and AIDS.

Rather than reciprocate the efforts and gestures made for peace — from the explicit commitment to peace and the two-State solution based on the pre-1967 borders made by the Palestinian leadership, beginning with the Palestinian Declaration of Independence over 20 years ago; to the Madrid, Oslo, Taba, Sharm el-Sheikh and Annapolis commitments; the Arab Peace Initiative over eight years ago; the road map to Mideast peace and the Quartet Statement; the diplomatic efforts of the United States of America and all other concerned nations — Israel continues to pay only lip-service to the pursuit of peace, while its actions are actually destroying any chance for the realization of peace.

(G) Whenever the Conversion Price is adjusted as herein provided, the Company shall give notice to the CP Shareholders that the Conversion Price has been adjusted (setting forth the event giving rise to the adjustment, the Conversion Price in effect prior to such adjustment, the adjusted Conversion Price and the effective date thereof) and shall at all times thereafter so long as any of the Conversion Rights remains exercisable make available for inspection at the principal place of business for the time being of the Company and the Registrar's Office prior to the Conversion Date a signed copy of the said certificate of the auditors or (as the case may be) of the relevant approved merchant bank and a certificate signed by a Director of the Company setting out the brief particulars of the event giving rise to the adjustment, the Conversion Price in effect prior to such adjustment, the adjusted Conversion Price end this effective date thereof.

43 At the trial or hearing of any action or other proceedings for the recovery of any money due for any call, it shall be sufficient to prove that the name of the member sued is entered in the register as the holder, or one of the holders, of the shares in respect of which such debt accrued; that the resolution making the call is duly recorded in the minute book; and that notice of such call was duly given to the member sued, in pursuance of these Articles; and it shall not be necessary to prove the appointment of the Directors who made such call, nor any other matters whatsoever, and the proof of the matters aforesaid shall be conclusive evidence of the debt.
