(d) Strengthen partnership programmes for technology transfer under mutually agreed terms by fostering linkages between foreign and domestic firms.

Republic of Moldova adopted a list of normative acts that regulate the migration processes, the status of foreign citizens and stateless persons present on the territory of the country: Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Moldova (art. 454–456) and the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova (Fifth part), Law on migration, Law on the status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Moldova, Law on the status of refugees, Law on departure and entry in the Republic of Moldova, Rules on stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Moldova, Government Decision on temporary employment of migrant workers, Regulations on education of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova.

The acceptance of great risks by Chinese companies to invest in oil exploration and extraction in countries and regions suffering from deadly conflict can complicate conflict resolution.

These groups jeopardize Cuba’s national security by planning and executing acts against Cuban citizens and their goods and property both within and outside the country, against the highest Government authorities and against citizens of third countries and their goods and property within the national territory.

The Aarhus Convention (1998) goes one step further to require the European Union member countries which ratified the convention to provide public access to environmental information, which is legally binding and the public can sue their governments if they find violations.

Nevertheless, a person whose parents are both Chinese nationals and have both settled abroad, or one of whose parents is a Chinese national and has settled abroad, and who has acquired a foreign nationality at birth, shall not have Chinese nationality.

The secretariat highlighted the potential for the further liberalization of South–South trade and the reduction of tariffs on intermediate inputs, the need to properly address non-tariff measures, the need for a sound business environment and an effective government to establish the enabling environment to make domestic firms more attractive to global networks, the necessity for human capital development, and the relevance of transport and trade facilitation to GSCs.

It also recommends that the State party carry out a national debate on investment in agriculture and seek, prior to any contracts with foreign companies, the free and informed consent of the persons concerned.

(c) Encourages the State party to organize the participation of its public officials in rehabilitation and legal assistance programmes and to conduct broad awareness campaigns for officials such as judges, law officers, law enforcement agents and welfare workers, who are in direct contact with victims.
