As the first RMB-denominated and settled public fund in Hong Kong, asset size of Haitong Global RMB Fixed Income Fund continued to rise in 2011, leading similar products in the industry by a wide margin.

While the Administration's objective of non-discriminatory recruitment based on competence is creditable, it has difficulty in justifying the 37% of expatriate directorate grade staff in the Legal, Police, Housing and Customs and Excise Departments.

I am participating in this debate today because the Secretary-General’s latest report on children and armed conflict (S/2010/181) mentions instances of the recruitment and use of children and systematic attacks on schools by Maoist armed groups in some parts of central and eastern India.

Notwithstanding these challenges, 113 children were confirmed to have been recruited by the following armed forces and groups: Armed Movement of Liberals and Reform (splinter group of JEM and SLA/Abdul Wahid), Border Intelligence Forces, Chadian armed opposition groups, community policing forces, police forces, Popular Defence Forces, SLA/Abu Gasim, SLA/Historical Leadership (splinter group of SLA/Abdul Wahid), SLA/Abdul Wahid, Sudanese Armed Forces and unknown armed groups.
