The search for a peaceful settlement in the Middle East, in particular the efforts undertaken at various levels to implement resolution 338 (1973), was dealt with in my report on the situation in the Middle East (A/65/379) submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 64/20, entitled “Jerusalem”, and 64/21, entitled “The Syrian Golan”.

Furthermore, the centre has close collaborations with karst research institutions of many countries which deal with special topics of karst science, such as karst hydrogeology, speleology, etc. such as Centre d’Hydrogéologie, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland; Department of Hydrogeology, Graz University, Austria; Department of Geography, University of Auckland, New Zealand; Institute of Experimental Physics, University of Bremen, Germany; Center of Karst Water Research, Hecetteppe University, Turkey; Institute of Geography, University of Silesia, Poland; Karst Research Institute, Postoina, Slovenia; Karst Water Institute, Charles Town, Ohio, United States of America; Limestone Research Group, University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom; National Park Service Cave and Karst Program, United States of America.

The wet process, on the other hand, remains dominant in the former Soviet Union and Australia and New Zealand and is still significant in Canada, India, Latin America and Africa (Watson et al., 2005).

Two flagship project ideas were accepted by the Joint UNESCO-Palestinian Authority Committee meeting, aimed at the preservation and promotion of the Palestinian cultural heritage, namely “The Nativity Church in Bethlehem, Birthplace of Jesus and Monuments of Outstanding Universal Value” and “Cultural Itinerary of Jesus Christ Route”, covering cultural, religious and archaeological sites in Gaza (the site of Nusseirat, location of the Saint Hilarion Monastery) and in the West Bank (the village of Burqin and the Church of Saint Georgos), it being understood that the project will include not only sites and traditions related to the life of Jesus Christ but also religious and popular traditions such as the Samaritan traditions in Nablus.

It must be noted that clearly identifying individual combatants from sub-Saharan Africa as non-Libyan nationals is complicated in the Libyan context by the lack of citizenship documentation, granting of new Libyan citizenship, and the existence of Libyans who resemble sub-Saharan Africans to some degree.

Alone in the jungle, Tarzan gets pursued by Sabor the leopard right to a rocky place known as the Dark Mountain, inhabited by two hulking, spoiled gorilla brothers, Uto and Kago (voiced by Brad Garrett and Ron Perlman), and their controlling, over-protective Mama Gunda (voiced by Estelle Harris).
