On 2 March 2009, by its decision 63/418, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Internal Justice Council (see A/63/489), appointed the following persons as judges of the Appeals Tribunal: Sophia Adinyira (Ghana), Rose Boyko (Canada), Jean Courtial (France), Kamaljit Singh Garewal (India), Mark P. Painter (United States of America), Luis María Simón (Uruguay) and Inés Weinberg de Roca (Argentina).

The mission, led by Mr. Sam Ibok, Deputy Director of the Africa II Division of the Department of Political Affairs — who is seated right behind me — took place from 7 to 23 December.

By extension of the term to comprise the extant extra-canonical literature of the sub-Apostolic age, it is made to include the "Shepherd" of Hermas, the New Testament prophet, who was believed to be the one referred to by St. Paul (Rom. xvi, 14), but whom a safer tradition makes a brother of Pope Pius I (c. 140-150); the meagre fragments of the "Expositions of the Discourses of the Lord", by Papias, who may have been a disciple of St. John (Irenaeus, Adv. Haer., V, 331-334), though more probably he received his teaching at second hand from a "presbyter" of that name (Eusebius, Hist. Eccl., III, 39); the "Letter to Diognetus", the unknown author of which affirms his discipleship with the Apostles, but his claim must be taken in the broad sense of conformity in spirit and teaching.

Mr. Tobias Judin from the University of Oslo on a semester at Peking University followed up on this theme where he on behalf of the other students told about their enriching experiences in China, the new leader of the Association of Norwegian Students Abroad (ANSA), Mr Simen Johan Willgohs presented the organization, and finally two Chinese students from BFSU, Mr Liu Sicong and Ms Yong Chunhong, impressed the audience with their mastery of Norwegian in a xiangsheng style performance about learning Norwegian.

Professor Patrick Boylan, ViceChairperson of ICOM, analysed the implementation of the Convention since 1954 and proposed practical steps for its improvement.

The official language is English, though French, Mauritian Creole and Bhojpuri are widely used.

At the same session, the General Assembly elected Ms. Mary Faherty (Ireland) as a judge of the Appeals Tribunal, to serve the remainder of the seven-year term of Judge Rose Boyko, for a term of office beginning on 28 January 2011 and ending on 30 June 2016.

In 2006 at the Boijmans Museum Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the process was made visible to the public by pumping the filthy Dutch canal water throughout the historical museum, into a large tank visible inside the gallery and here it was purified and rendered drinkable via taps and pipes integrated into the sculptures.

(Islamic Republic of Iran): In September 2010, the Islamic Republic of Iran was among those delegations that supported the motion to defer action on draft resolution A/64/L.67, entitled “Participation of the European Union in the work of the United Nations”, in order to allow the general membership to reach a consensus text through open and inclusive consultation on the draft resolution and its ramifications for the overall integrity and functioning of the United Nations.
