State-sanctioned discrimination took place even in the workplace, in labour relations; it was reported in the United Nations in 1992 the “dismissal of thousands of Kosovo Albanian workers, and the effect of the `Law on Labour Relations under Special Circumstances’”, as well as “the measures taken by the Serbian authorities in Kosovo” (paras. 229-230).
