Following conclusion of the “Basic Agreement on the Region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium” between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the local Croatian Serb authorities in 1995, the Council continued to be involved in reintegrating the break away regions peacefully into Croatia’s legal and constitutional system, resolving territorial disputes in Prevlaka and supporting the peace process.
