(m) Welcomed the website on good practices on integrated economic statistics, and requested countries to provide case studies on compilation practices on economic statistics for information-sharing.

Based on inputs received from Member States in response to a note verbale, the present report summarizes measures taken by States to address violence against women in relation to (a) international instruments, legislation and the criminal justice system (addressing in particular resolution 63/155, paras. 11, 12, 13, 16 (b), (c), (d), (k), (l) and (m) and 18)); (b) national action plans, strategies and national coordination mechanisms and collaboration (in particular para. 16 (a), (f), (g), (j), (n), (q) and (t)); (c) prevention measures, including awareness-raising and capacitybuilding (in particular paras. 14, 15, 16 (b), (h), (i), (j), (o) and (s)); (d) protection, support and services for victims/survivors (in particular paras. 15, 16 (l), (m), (p), (q) and(r)); and (e) data collection and analysis (in particular para. 16 (e)).

The complainant in the communication dated 18 November 2008 is Mr. J.L.L., born on 20 May 1968, and his two minor children, A.N., born in 1995, and M.L., born in 2000, who are nationals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and currently residing in Switzerland.

The two membranes are connected every 50 m in both longitudinal and lateral directions by diagonally welded plastic webs to form air-tight sealing compartments.

The Working Group further agreed that intersessional work to be carried out in the 2011-2012 period could include workshops held under the auspices of the Action Team that would gather experts on various aspects of the draft recommendations made by the Action Team (A/AC.105/C.1/L.308, annex), and meetings of experts, which could facilitate the establishment of a mission planning and operations group.

In the preparation of the following year’s report on legal empowerment of the poor and eradication of poverty, draft resolution A/C.2/64/L.47 should be taken into considerationbecause the concept must be understood in a broader context, in both developed and developing countries, and the root causes of poverty must be part of the examination.

Brazil has strongly supported the Register of Conventional Arms since its creation by resolution 46/36 L of 1991, and has regularly provided information on the Register’s seven categories.

The Committee was also informed that the provisional calendar of conferences and meetings in the economic, social and related fields for 2012 and 2013 comprised not only meetings of the Economic and Social Council and its functional commissions and expert bodies, but also meetings of subsidiary bodies of the General Assembly in the economic, social and related fields as indicated in footnote b to the provisional calendar (E/2011/L.10, annex).
