Lumière
/ljuːmˈmjer, 〈法〉lymjɛʀ/- Lumière, Auguste Marie Louis Nicholas (1862-1954) and Louis Jean (1864-1948), French inventors and pioneers of cinema. In 1895 the brothers patented their 'Cinématographe', a cine camera and projector in one.
