Limpopo
/lɪmˈpəʊpəʊ/- a river of SE Africa. Rising as the Crocodile River near Johannesburg, it flows 1,770 km (1,100 miles) in a sweeping curve to the north and east to meet the Indian Ocean in Mozambique, north of Maputo.
