Latium
/ˈleɪʃɪəm/- an ancient region of west central Italy, west of the Apennines and south of the River Tiber. Settled during the early part of the 1st millennium BC by a branch of the Indo-European people known as the Latini, it had become dominated by Rome by the end of the 4th century BC; it is now part of the modern region of Lazio.拉丁姆(意大利中西部一古代地区, 在亚平宁山脉以西、台伯河以南, 公元前1千年初期由属印欧部落的拉丁人定居, 公元前4世纪末归罗马统治; 现为拉齐奥地区一部分)。
