- an administrative territory of Russia. In pre-revolutionary times krais were each made up of a number of provinces, becoming in 1924 large administrative units in the Soviet territorial system. By the time of the break-up of the USSR in 1991 there were six krais.(俄罗斯的)边疆区(俄罗斯行政区, 革命前, 每个区由若干省组成, 1924年成为苏联领土制度下的大行政单位, 1991年苏联解体时共有六个边疆区)。
