Kodály, Zoltán (1882-1967), Hungarian composer. His main source of inspiration was his native land; he was also involved in the collection and publication of Hungarian folk songs. Notable works: Psalmus Hungaricus (choral, 1923) and Háry János (opera, 1925-7).
