Guru Granth Sahib
- the principal sacred scripture of Sikhism. Originally compiled under the direction of Arjan Dev (1563-1606), the fifth Sikh guru, it contains hymns and religious poetry as well as the teachings of the first five gurus. Also called ADI GRANTH, GRANTH SAHIB ('Revered Book').《古鲁·格兰特·萨赫布》(锡克教主要圣典, 最早由锡克教第五代古鲁, 即祖师, 阿尔琼·德夫[1563-1606]指导编纂, 包括圣歌、宗教诗及最初五代古鲁的教义; 亦称《阿迪·格兰特》, 《格兰特·萨赫布》[“万众景仰之书”之意])。
