Gilbert Islands
- a group of islands in the central Pacific, forming part of Kiribati. The islands straddle the equator and lie immediately west of the International Date Line. They were formerly part of the British colony of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands.吉尔伯特群岛(太平洋中部的一组岛屿, 是基里巴斯的一部分, 群岛横跨赤道, 东部紧靠国际日期变更线, 曾是英国殖民地吉尔伯特和埃利斯群岛的一部分)。
