Eyre
/eə(r)/- Eyre, Edward John (1815-1901), British-born Australian explorer and colonial statesman. He undertook explorations in the interior deserts of Australia (1840-1) and later served as Lieutenant Governor of New Zealand and Governor of Jamaica埃尔, 爱德华·约翰（1815-1901, 英国出生的澳大利亚探险家和殖民政治家, 1840-1841深入澳大利亚内陆沙漠进行探险, 后曾任新西兰副总督和牙买加总督）。
