Esaki
/eˈzɑːkɪ/- Esaki, Leo (b.1925), Japanese physicist. He investigated and pioneered the development of quantum-mechanical tunnelling of electrons in semiconductor devices, and designed the tunnel diode (also called Esaki diode).
