Eisenhower
/ˈaɪzənˌhaʊə(r)/- Eisenhower, Dwight David (1890-1969), American general and Republican statesman, 34th President of the US 1953-61; known as Ike. In the Second World War he was Supreme Commander of Allied Expeditionary Forces in western Europe 1943-5.
