Daimler
/ˈdaɪmlə(r),〈德〉ˈdaɪmlɐ/- Daimler, Gottlieb (1834-1900), German engineer and motor manufacturer. An employee of Nikolaus Otto, he produced a small engine using the Otto cycle in 1884 and made it propel a bicycle using petrol vapour.
