Alsace
/ælˈsæs/- a region of NE France, on the borders with Germany and Switzerland. Alsace was annexed by Prussia, along with part of Lorraine (forming Alsace-Lorraine), after the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1, and restored to France after the First World War.阿尔萨斯（法国东北部地区, 与德国和瑞士交界; 在1870-1871年普法战争后, 阿尔萨斯曾和部分洛林地区［构成阿尔萨斯-洛林］被普鲁士吞并, 第一次世界大战后归还法国）。
