Tutu
/ˈtuːtuː/- Tutu, Desmond (Mpilo) (b. 1931), South African clergyman. As General Secretary of the South African Council of Churches (1979- 84) he became a leading voice in the struggle against apartheid. He was archbishop of Cape Town 1986- 96.
