Albertus Magnus, St
/ælˈbɜːtəsˈmægnəs/- (c.1200-80) , Dominican theologian, philosopher, and scientist; known as Doctor Universalis. A teacher of St Thomas Aquinas, he was a pioneer in the study of Aristotle and contributed significantly to the comparison of Christian theology and pagan Philosophy.
