Brabant
/brəˈbænt/- a former duchy in western Europe, lying between the Meuse and Scheldt Rivers. Its capital was Brussels. It is now divided into two provinces in two countries: North Brabant in the Netherlands, of which the capital is 's-Hertogenbosch; and Brabant in Belgium, of which the capital remains Brussels.布拉班特（前西欧公国, 位于默兹河与斯海尔德河之间, 首府布鲁塞尔; 现分为两部分, 分属荷兰和比利时两国： 荷属北布拉班特省, 首府是赫托根波许; 比利时布拉班特省, 首府依旧是布鲁塞尔）。
