Solnhofen
/ˈzəʊlnˌhəʊfən,〈德〉 ˈzɔːlnˌhoːfn/- a village in Bavaria, Germany, near which there are extensive, thinly stratified beds of lithographic limestone dating from the Upper Jurassic period.
