Sargasso Sea
- a region of the western Atlantic Ocean between the Azores and the Caribbean, so called because of the prevalence in it of floating sargasso seaweed. It is the breeding place of eels from the rivers of Europe and eastern North America, and is known for its usually calm conditions.马尾藻海（大西洋西部一地区, 在亚速尔群岛与加勒比海之间, 因漂移着大片的马尾藻而得名; 这里是来自欧洲和北美东部河流的鳗的繁殖地, 通常以风平浪静著称）。
