Parmenides

- Greek philosopher. Born in Elea in SW Italy, he founded the Eleatic school of philosophers. In his work On Nature, written in hexameter verse, he maintained that the apparent motion and changing forms of the universe are in fact manifestations of an unchanging and indivisible reality.巴门尼德(生活于公元前5世纪, 希腊哲学家; 出生在意大利西南部的埃里亚, 他创建了哲学家的埃里亚学派; 他在六步格的诗作《论自然》中主张表面上运动变化的宇宙形式实际上是一个不变和不可分割的实在的种种表现)。
