Ortega
/ɔːˈteɪgə/- Ortega, Daniel (b.1945), Nicaraguan statesman, President 1985-90 and since 2007; full name Daniel Ortega Saavedra. He became the leader of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) in 1966 and first served as President after the Sandinista election victory in 1984.
