- a plain in Greece, in the western Peloponnese. In ancient Greece it was the site of the chief sanctuary of the god Zeus, the place where the original Olympic Games were held, after which the site is named奥林匹亚（希腊的平原, 位于伯罗奔尼撒半岛西部; 古希腊时是祭祀宙斯神的主要场所, 是古代奥林匹克运动会举行的地方, 该地因此而得名）。
