Najaf

- a city in southern Iraq, on the Euphrates; pop. 500,000 (est. 2003). It contains the shrine of Ali, the prophet Muhammad's son-in-law, and is a holy city for the Shiite Muslims.纳贾夫（伊拉克南部城市, 位于幼发拉底河畔, 2003年估计人口500,000, 有先知穆罕穆德女婿阿里的神殿, 为伊斯兰教什叶派圣地）。
