Ashcan School
- a group of American realist painters active from c.1908 until the First World War, who painted scenes from the slums of New York. The school grew out of the group called 'the Eight'.垃圾箱画派(活跃于约1908年至第一次世界大战的一批美国现实主义画家, 以纽约贫民窟景象为创作素材, 产生于“八人画派”)。
