古装剧

古装剧是指时代背景设置为古代的电影、电视剧及舞台剧，亦包括架空历史但穿着古装及学习古人习惯的样子，演员们也会穿着古代的衣物登上舞台。

中国大陆的古装剧题材广泛，包括历史剧、武侠剧、神话剧、宫廷剧、穿越剧和改编文艺作品的剧集等。另外还有一些以历史人物为主角的虚构剧集，俗称「戏说」。

香港的古装剧题材包括武侠剧、喜剧、宫廷剧、历史题材剧集、文艺作品（包括小说、戏曲、民间传说等）改编剧集等。时代背景由商朝末年至清末民初，其中以唐、宋、明、清为背景的最多。

大部份历史题材剧与史实相差甚远，有时亦会出现不合时代背景的奇装异服，改编文学作品（尤其是古典文学作品）时亦常会偏离原着，部份古装剧内容流于肤浅，对白亦常会出现过于现代化的情况，常遭受批评。
