Bukit Panjang (Chinese:武吉班让, Tamil:பக்கிட் பஞ்சாங்), also known as Bukit Panjang New Town, formerly known as Zhenghua, and often abbreviated as either Bt. Panjang or BPJ, is a planning area and residential town located in the West Region of Singapore. It is surrounded by Bukit Timah Road, Dairy Farm Road, the Bukit Timah Expressway, and the Kranji Expressway. A portion of this town is situated on a low-lying, elongated hill – the plateau of which encompasses a number of elementary schools and high schools including, two of which are Zhenghua Primary School and Greenridge Secondary School. The town is located next to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, and is bordered by the BKE and the KJE expressways. It has an average elevation of 36m/118ft
