风速（英语：wind speed）是指空气相对于地球某一固定地点的运动速率。在日常生活中，我们把空气的移动称之为「风」。

风速通常都用于量度室外空气流动的速度。亦有情况需要量度室内空气流动的速率，但比较少见。风速对我们的日常生活占有很重要的地位：不论是天气预报、航空及航海的作业、建造及土木工程都需要参考风速。高风速会引起不良的后果，而对于特定程度的高风速，我们都会给予专有的名词去辨别，例如：强风、烈风、暴风、飓风等。

风速的量度有两种：

Wind speed affects weather forecasting, aircraft and maritime operations, construction projects, growth and metabolism rate of many plant species, and countless other implications.
