电子游戏（或称为电玩游戏，简称电玩；有时直接按英文「video game」翻译为影像游戏或电动游戏），是指所有依托于电子媒体平台而运行的交互游戏。电子游戏按照游戏的载体划分，可分为街机游戏、掌机游戏、电视游戏（或称家用机游戏、视频游戏以及部份地区称视讯游戏）、电脑游戏和手机游戏（或称行动游戏），是指人通过电子设备（如电脑、游戏机及手机等）进行的游戏。西方游戏界往往将电子游戏（Electronic games）细分为影像游戏（Video game）和听觉游戏（Audio game）等，而中文游戏界则习惯一律以「电子游戏」指代。
