东平洲

东平洲（英语: Tung Ping Chau；正式中文名称为平洲，为免与香港另一岛屿坪洲混淆，故加上东字作识别），属于香港大埔区岛屿，亦是香港最东北的岛屿，位于大鹏湾，其东面对岸为深圳之大鹏半岛及南澳镇，两者距离比和香港其他岛屿还要近。东平洲全岛为面积1.16平方公里。
东平洲获由香港郊野公园之友会、国际狮子总会港澳303区及渔农自然护理署在2006年12月举办，「香港十大胜景选举」第二名 。

Tung Ping Chau (Chinese:东平洲) is an island in Hong Kong. It was known as Ping Chau (Chinese:平洲). Tung (Chinese:东, meaning east) is prepended to the name so as to avoid possible confusion with Peng Chau, another island in Hong Kong with an identically pronounced name in the Cantonese language. Administratively, the island is part of the Tai Po District in the New Territories.
