Polydactyly




Polydactyly or polydactylism (fromGreekπολύς (polys), meaning "many",andδάκτυλος (daktylos), meaning "finger"), also known as hyperdactyly, is a congenital physical anomaly in humans, dogs, and cats having supernumerary fingers or toes. Polydactyly is the opposite of oligodactyly (fewer fingers or toes).
