Sragen Regency

Sragen is a regency (Indonesian:kabupaten) in the eastern part of Central Java province in Indonesia. Its capital is Sragen, east of Surakarta located around 30 km northeast of Solo. Sragen is bordered with East Java Province in the east.
The famous river, Bengawan Solo flows through the fertile rice fields of this region. The regency is also the location of the infamous sex ritual which is conducted on Mount Kemukus.
