比容

比容（英语：specific volume， $\nu$ ）是某单位质量的特定物质所占的体积。比容是一物质的内含性质，配合其他内含性质就可以描述一简单热力学系统的状态。使用比容也可以在不需得知系统实际工作体积（可能是实际体积难以量测或是不重要）的条件下，分析一个热力学系统。

一物质的比容是其密度的倒数，比容的单位可表示为 $\frac{m^3}{kg}$ 、 $\frac{ft^3}{lbm}$ 、 $\frac{ft^3}{slug}$ 或 $\frac{mL}{g}$ ：

v = \frac{V}{m} = \frac{1}{\rho}
