超新星早期预警系统 Supernova Early Warning System（重定向自SNEWS）
超新星早期预警系统 (SNEWS)是个检测微中子的网络，可以为天文学家提供银河系或邻近的星系，像是大麦哲伦星系、大犬座矮星系等的超新星早期预警。在红巨星等恒星塌缩时，在核心会产生大量的微中子。在目前的模型中，这些微中子是在超新星的亮度高峰之前发出的，所以原则上微中子检测器可以提前给天文学家一个超新星已经产生，可能很快就能看到的警讯。来自超新星SN 1987A的微中子脉冲在光子抵达之前3小时就已经被工作中的SNEWS检测到。 目前SNEWS的成员包括Borexino、超级神冈、LVD、SNO和IceCube。目前SNO 正在进行升级为SNO+的计划，暂时不能参与检测工作。
