Pomaderris apetala
Pomaderris apatela locally known as the Dogwood is a shrub or small tree found only in Tasmania. It is found in and on the margins of rainforest, often in re-growth areas. The relatively large leaves have a bumpy surface and irregular margins. The specific epithet apetala is from the Latin meaning a lack of petals. This plant fixes nitrogen in the soil. It may be grown as an ornamental.
