巴 Bar (unit)

巴（符号bar）、毫巴（符号mbar，也作mb）都是表示压力的单位。它们不属于国际单位制或厘米-克-秒制，但接受与国际单位并用。因为巴与大气压力相似，所以被广泛用于描述压力。它在欧洲联盟国家里律法上被承认。

The bar is a metric unit of pressure, but not part of the International System of Units (SI). It is exactly equal to 100000 Pa and is slightly less than the average atmospheric pressure on Earth at sea level.
The bar and the millibar were introduced by the British meteorologist William Napier Shaw in 1909, while he was the director of the Meteorological Office in London.
