都主教（拉丁文、意大利文：Metropolita；希腊文：Μητροπολίτης）或称教省首都主教，是基督教教会的一种职衔。

受到罗马帝国的行省制度影响，各行省的行政中心都会（Metropolis）的教区主教往往会因地利而成为当地教会的领袖。由于是都会「Metropolis」的主教，因此被称之为都主教「Metropolita」。

而在现在都主教也大多指各教省首都的主教，或是当地教会的重要领袖。在拉丁礼天主教会中被称为总主教。而在宗主教制度形成前，都主教往往是各地东方礼教会的最高领袖，他们主持主教会议，并由教会法和圣传授予一定的权限。
